Epic Mickey was released today in North America. It was developed at our sister studio, Junction point and a small team at our studio had the privilege of helping out over the past year. Here are a few shots I got to paint up for concept purposes. I got a screen grab from the guys down in Austin and then had about a day to do each of these. The purpose was to address lighting and minor texture work. At the stage of production we were at we weren't allowed to touch anything else really. Not all of them are what I had hoped but we were under the gun to get stuff done. All in all I'm happy to have worked on the project with our team here at Avalanche.
More to come...

Awesome man, really great to see and learn from. I know it wasn't the most free or glamorous assignment but it shows a lot of skill and a lot of progress in the year it's been since we worked together.
Mad skills, J! Really fantastic work.
Very cool.
Really great sense of atmosphere in these! Can't wait to play the game this winter break.

The disco-ball rocket-ship painting at the bottom is a place I want to BE.
Nice work. Gotta love the 1 day-ers...
Very nice! I'm a fan of this game, and am actually playing it right now! But as an artist, it's nice to see some of the 'behind the scenes' stuff :)
Wow. Very impressive. I love the ground texture on the top most image. Very cool.
